Most of the content we deal with is quite serious however; we have some light-hearted news from Toto, who have developed a high-tech toilet that gives an instant health check-up of the person who makes use of it. Toto state that every time a user gets nature’s call, the toilet analyzes their urine, temperature, blood pressure and weight- all in a matter of a few seconds. Finally, last month there was a report that linked diabetes and insulin resistance with Alzheimer’s risk. Scientists with Kyushu University in Fukuoka, said people with these conditions appear to be at an increased risk of developing plaques in the brain that are associated with Alzheimer’s. Lead researcher Dr. Kensuke Sasaki said in a statement that the results of the study are alarming because obesity is a risk factor in type-2 diabetes, and more people in the world are becoming obese.
